Andhra Pradesh CM holds meet on PM's visit

Tirupati, Aug 25 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah today instructed officials concerned to take necessary steps for successful conduct of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to this temple town on August 31.He made these comments during a review meeting with Ministers and officials here to discuss the arrangements for the PM's visit.Mr Roasiah said the exact details of the PM's schedule, which included laying the foundation stone for BHEL Power Equipment Plant and an international airport here, were yet to be recieved.Later, speaking to the press, Mr Rosaiah emphasised the power equipment plant, a joint venture between NTPC and BHEL, would come up only in Andhra Pradesh.The Brahmostavams of Sri Venkateswara Temple at Tirumala, scheduled to begin on September 11, would be held in grand manner under the Specified Authority appointed last night in the place of the TTD Trust Board, he said.Later, he proceeded on an unscheduled visit to Tirumala Hills skipping Nellore District due to bad weather and offered prayers at Sri Venkateswara Temple.He also offered prayers at Goddess Padmavathi Temple in Tiruchanur and left for Hyderabad by flight in the afternoon.
