ISNA Announces Bonus Convention Event: Monday Islamic Knowledge Intensive With Shaykh Suhaib Webb and Imam Mohamed Majid

ISNA is happy to announce a new and exciting opportunity for this year's Convention attendees. In response to high public demand for additional spiritual sessions during the 2010 Annual ISNA Convention, the Programs Committee has added an additional half day Knowledge Intensive to the weekend's events. On Monday July 5th, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Shaykh Suhaib Webb and Imam Mohamed Majid will lead four fulfilling hours of spiritual education and commentary on Imam Ghazali's published work, "The Duties of Brotherhood in Islam." The session will be held in the Paris Room at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and seats are limited to this exclusive event! Shaykh Suhaib Webb received his bachelors degree in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma and is currently training to be a Mufti in Cairo, Egypt. He also received private studies in Islam and Arabic under a Senegalese Shaykh and has many years experience leading spiritual education courses in the U.S. and abroad. Imam Mohamed Majid is the current Executive Director of the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) Center in Sterling, Virginia, where he delivers regular Jummah khutbas and teaches classes in many aspects of Islamic studies. He is the son of a leading Islamic Scholar, who was an Azhar graduate and the Mufti of Sudan, and studied at the hand of his father and other notable scholars, gaining ijaza in several disciplines, including Ghazali's Ihya-Uloom-al-Deen. Mukhtar Ahmad, ISNA Programs Director, states, "Ghazali is considered by many to be one of the revivers of Islam, offering inspirational guidance that transcends time to strengthen each generation of our Ummah." Remember, only ISNA Convention registrants may attend this enlightening event. ISNA staff are excited to meet you in Chicago for this year's convention and have already begun traveling to the convention center for set-up of the events.
