South West monsoon active over Telangana, rain in other regions too

Hyderabad, Jul 1 : Southwest monsoon has been active over Telangana, with rain occurring at many places and at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh while isolated rain occurred over Rayalaseema.Rainfall recorded in cm: Dowlaiswaram and Tadepalligudem 8 each followed by Sriramsagar 7, Met department said today.The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm are Chodavaram and Eluru 6 each, Adilabad, Medak, Mahabubabad, Mangalagiri, Narayanakhed, Navipet and Peddapuram 5 each, Jagitiyal, Metpalli Khanapur and Nirmal 4 each, Khammam, Nizamabad, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Achampet, Armoor, Nizamsagar, Kaikalur, Mudhol, Utnoor, Prathipadu, Rajahmundry, Ramannapet and Tanuku 3 each, Visakhapatnam, Avanigadda, Gudivada, Bhimavaram, Boath, Bodhan, Kamareddy, Madnoor, Dubbak, Ramayampet, Elamanchili, Jangaon, Repalle, Salur, Srungavarapukota and Satyavedu 2 each.Moderate to rather heavy rain/thundershowers would occur at many places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and in the districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammam of Telangana. Light to moderate rain/thundershowers may occur at a few places over Rayalaseema and in the remaining districts of Telangana.A spell of rain/thundershowers would occur in parts of the city.Maximum and Minimum temeratures would be around 33 and 23 degrees celsius respectively, it added.
