About 50 Praja Rajyam Party(PRP) activists were taken into custody today when they gate crashed into the office of the ABN Andhra Jyothi television channel here and attacked its staff members, in protest against a report allegedly tarnishing the party's image.The activists brandishing wooden logs stormed the office and damaged the window panes and furniture before the police intervened and restored order.The PRP activists were upset with the report that the party was facing a huge financial crunch and that its founder Chiranjeevi had even asked its district functionaries to make their own financial arrangements for running the party affairs.The irate activists tried to gatecrash into the newsroom, upset with a news report telecast by the television channel, even as private security guards prevented them from doing so, police said. The Banjara Hills police had registered a case in this connection.Both the ruling Congress as also opposition parties condemned the attack.
