The center offers information about education in the United States.Osmania University Vice Chancellor T. Tirupati Rao cut the ribbon t the bright, comfortable and well equipped room inside OUCIP’s library,March 23, 2010.The SIC is affiliated to the United States-India EducationalFoundation (USIEF) whose Director Adam J.Grotsky was present tocelebrate the opening. U.S. Consulate General Public Affairs Officer Juliet Wurr, also present, noted that USIEF’s funding for the center came from the U.S. Department of State.The center’s goal is to provide accurate and free information aboutthe wide variety of educational institutions available to Indianstudents. The center, open six days a week and without cost, willoffer reference material on all aspects of higher education in theU.S. University directories, instruction booklets for applying to aU.S. university and study-guides and application forms for TOEFL,GMAT,GRE and SAT tests can be accessed.The center will be open from 10 am to 1 pm from Monday to Friday andfrom 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday.
